Walsall's new park is now open
Finally, after all the delays caused by Covid, Chuckery has finally been able to open its brand new play park. Supported by Walsall LA, Chuckery TMO successfully obtained a Pocket Park grant from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. Determined to make this happen, the TMO provided further funding required and appointed ESP to install the play park.
The committee are so happy that all their hard work and that of the Community Development Officer, caretakers and housing staff has had such a fantastic result.
One dad of a 2 year old told us that when they moved in 2 years ago the park was just sitting there rotting and now his son is 2 and just the right age to enjoy this wonderful new facility right outside their flats anytime they liked. Watching this little boy running between the pieces of equipment made the long, hard journey all worthwhile!
