Supporting Local Causes!
Burrowes Street TMO have been making good use of the down time caused by Covid by re decorating their Resource Centre. When we get going again, tenants will have a lovely, fresh room to use for their activities and social events.
Many thanks to one of the team of hard working caretakers, Ash, who dedicated his own free time to do the painting. Ash would not accept payment and instead asked for donations to be given to 2 local hospices. One of our much valued volunteers, Cynthia kindly did the honour of visiting Walsall Hospice (formerly St Giles) to present their £150 cheque. The nurses there were so appreciative to receive it. A further cheque was also given to Acorns at the request of Ash.
Many, many thanks to Ash, Cynthia and all the committee members who have worked hard to get this re-decorating done. We hope that post Covid you will come along and join in some of the new activities that will be taking place in there!
