Structure & Governance
WATMOS is run by a management board made up of 12 members. The board has 6 resident board members, 4 independent board members & up to 2 co-opted board members, selected for their experience and expertise.
WATMOS is a tenant led organisation because its majority shareholding is held by the ten tenant management organisations in the group, each serving a local estate. This means that tenants through their TMOs appoint the Board to oversee the delivery of services based around an agreed corporate plan..
WATMOS also has a Resident Committee which oversee local policies, strategies and gains assurance that WATMOS is delivering on its service offer to residents as well as complying with Consumer Regulatory Standards.
Compliance with Regulatory Standards
The Group complies with the Regulator of Social Housing’s Governance and Viability Standard and has been awarded a rating of G2 for Governance and V2 for Viability. WATMOS has adopted the National Housing Federation 2020 Code of Governance.
