Our partnership with the Old Vic
We are delighted to announce a new community partnership in London! We’ve been selected by renowned local theatre the Old Vic as a delivery partner for it’s exciting community programme.
Get Going is an intergenerational scheme designed to build connections, support mental health and wellbeing and combat social isolation in older people. London Community Development and Sheltered Scheme Officers Sam and Nadine submitted an application on behalf of the sheltered scheme on Ethelred estate and are delighted to be one of their selected partners.
Participating groups will take part in three workshops in partnership with the theatre and a local primary school, covering dance, poetry and will be supported through online resources as they work with industry professionals to create a new piece of music. The project will run from January – March 2021, and we’re really excited to be able to bring this innovative and exciting project to Watmos residents.
